AIDS. The sound of the word terrified some, and horrified others. How do we let it go this far? There is no cure for very few ailments, and help is one of them. Yet we still have unprotected sex, and we still share dirty needles. Come on! Granted, HIV / AIDS will never be a thing of the past, but we can do better at making the condition less common.

HIV / AIDS kills.
In 2004, it was responsible for 3.5 million deaths globally. It wasn’t even the worst of it. 6.4 million people were newly infected with the virus that same year! Instead of reducing the lethal state, we multiply it. This must stop. As if 3.5 million weren’t dead enough in 2004, so we decided to increase the figure for 2005. What were we thinking ?! Mothers can share AIDS with their babies during pregnancy, childbirth, or breastfeeding, and there is no way to stop it from not becoming pregnant. But here is a list of HIV / AIDS infections that can be prevented: – Penetrating oral, vaginal, or anal sex (Unprotected) – Blood transfusions – In health care settings – Injections of drugs So if any of these methods can be prevented, why HIV / AIDS still a big problem? Mankind needs to be wise, stop sharing needles, screen blood transfusions, and USE CONDOMS. Let’s beat AIDS before it beat us.
